first snow - winter 2010

School is canceled for tomorrow, Tuesday.

First snow fall yesterday, Sunday (11/21).































Thought that school would be canceled or at least delayed but it wasn't. Scheduled early release due to parent-teacher conferences anyway. Turns out that for the drop off we would be using the emergency bus stop. So all the parents were waiting down by the main street. For almost an hour. The high school buses were late in dropping off their kids which in turn caused a cascade effect with elementary being the last and most delayed.

Our driveway and Kim's across the street had been shoveled about an hour earlier.

This was also what caused Jimmy to have an almost 6 hour trip to get home from work. He got stuck and finally had to walk to get chains from an auto store. We are surrounded by fabulous neighbors because 2 of them offered to go get him (one of them actually started off on the trek).
