well visits
Due to scheduling changes and mix-ups, Hayley and Jacob had their 8 and 4 year check-ups on 8/25.
Hayley is 52.5" (75%) and 65.8 lbs (75%).
Jacob is 40.5" (45%) and 36.2 lbs (50%).
Plus he got 4 shots (DTap), IPV, MMR, and varicella - they were out of the combo (Pediarix) shot so we had 2 nurses come in to simultaneously jab him in both arms twice. I'm sure that you probably heard the screaming!
I mentioned to the ped that he had a ridge on the top of this head. Which completely freaked him out. He measured his head circumference and determined that his head hadn't grown much since he was 2 (last time they measured it). Which is funny cause he's wearing the same size bike helmet Hayley is (8+ years). Plus the ridge could mean that his growth plates had fused earlier than expected. He called around dinner time to say that the head circumference was on target for his age (found charts for toddlers) but he was still worried about the ridge. So we went in Friday for head x-rays at Valley Med. Jacob moved for 2 of them but did pretty well. Had to wait until this morning to call the ped for results. The nurse called me back and said that they were within 'normal' limits and no follow-up was needed. However if he started to experience symptoms to call them back. It's always something!!!
