Ballard Locks

On the way to Ballard Locks last weekend.

The official name for Ballard Locks.

On the way to see where the fish travel up the ladders. Unfortunately it's too early in the season to see them - late summer/early fall. Plus next time we go back we'll have to remember to bring 4 sets of 2 quarters and 1 penny - they have this machine that will alter a penny if you put in 50 cents and give you a different 'scene' (there are 4 options). We've done something similar at the aquarium in GA although I'm not sure that Hayley knows where that penny is now....

They had this metal artwork/sculpture piece that resembled waves. Hayley didn't like it and this was as good as it was going to get in terms of her being in the picture - she's walking out.

Everyone kept making comments about how cute Jacob was in his hat. hee hee hee

forsythia (spelling?) bushes

Hayley went around picking all the flowers. We had to stop her with some of them but let her do it on the rest. My girl LOVES flowers.

Camellias?

Walking along one of the paths....

Cherry blossoms if I remember correctly.

This is for Linda! The first time I've seen a squirrel since being in Seattle and it was here. He was a fat sucker, too.

We ended the day at Mashiko (www dot sushiwhore dot com), a sushi restaurant. It was really good. But you've got to get there early or be prepared for a wait because it's a really small restaurant.
