From The Seattle Times:

Temperatures soared into three digits around Western Washington early this afternoon, hitting a record 103 degrees at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by 5 p.m.

Other Weather Service readings included 106 in Puyallup, 101 in Bellevue and Seattle's University District and 100 degrees in Renton and Lake Forest Park.

The 103-degree mark at Sea-Tac, where the city's official readings are taken, topped the overall record of 100 set on July 16, 1941 and matched on July 20, 1994. Seattle's record for July 29 had been 95, set in 1971.

Sea-Tac's high topped typically toasty cities east of the Cascades, including Spokane (88), Walla Walla (98), Yakima (94), and Wenatchee (93).

The low overnight temperature at Sea-Tac was 71, making it the first time in the 64 years that records have been kept there that the temperature did not drop below 70 degrees overnight.

7:30 am: 86 degrees downstairs in the house already

At least so far there's a warm breeze blowing. Called everywhere yesterday looking for fans or anything to keep cool. Nada unless you wanted ceiling fans which we already have. LOL. All of us neighbors were outside trying to keep cool and dreading going back into our houses last nite. I'm sure that today will be worse.
