7/4 is probably our favorite holiday since moving here.  It's pretty much the start of summer in terms of weather getting nicer.  And we get to blow stuff up!!!  Jacob has been a fan since about 3.  Last year he couldn't wait to blow stuff up and this year was even worse, especially since his birthday is the day before.  We got the regular kid stuff and then he was able to help light off bigger stuff this year.

THE DAY AFTER

Actually this was pretty clean since we had been sweeping up in front of our house throughout the day.

We had a street sweeper clean the neighborhood. It showed up around 7ish.  The driver stopped to talk with Paul and told him that he had been out since 5 that morning cleaning neighborhoods.  He had never seen so much debris as between where we were setting off fireworks and the guy on the corner, Kirk.  He actually had to go back to get more water to clean our little section of the neighborhood.
