School was cancelled today. They really should pay more attention to the weather report and not make everyone wait until the last minute to find this info out. We got an automated phone call warning about the bad weather in the evening. Then we got another phone call announcing a 2 hour delay and still warning that school might be cancelled. I checked schoolreport.org around 3 am and saw that our district had cancelled school. However phone calls didn't start rolling out until later - we got ours around 5:30. Can you imagine if you had multiple kids in different grade levels? Your phone would be ringing off the hook!

Tonight and tomorrow's forecast is calling for up to possibly 14" in the Seattle and surrounding areas. Plus wind gusts. Hopefully we don't lose power. If it does get close to 14" it will break a record for our area. And if the school district were SMART, they would go ahead and cancel school BEFORE bed time tonight!
